All experience levels are welcome. Whether it’s your first guided hunt or you’ve been doing this for years, we’ll help make sure you understand what to expect and what you need before heading out.

Mareno’s Outfitters is based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, with hunts taking place in the surrounding areas and marshes depending on the type of hunt you book.

Yes. Hunters are responsible for purchasing the proper Louisiana hunting license for their trip.

For alligator hunts, Louisiana resident alligator licenses are $25 and nonresident licenses are $150.

For hog, coyote, and nutria hunts, hunters must have a Louisiana Basic Hunting License.

Bring weather-appropriate clothing, any required licenses, and whatever personal gear you may want for comfort during the trip. Once your hunt is booked, we can help you understand what’s best to bring based on the season and hunt type.

You can book a hunt by reaching out directly to Mareno’s Outfitters through email or social media. Once we know what type of hunt you’re interested in, we’ll go over availability, pricing, and next steps.

Nutria season is technically open year-round, but Mareno’s books these hunts primarily in February and March, after duck season closes and marsh conditions are better.

For gators under 10 feet, taxidermy skinning/cleaning is $150.

For gators 10 feet and over, it is $250.

No problem. Reach out directly by email at marenosoutfitters@gmail.com or message Mareno’s Outfitters or Ryan Mareno on Facebook.
