About Mareno's Outfitters

Our Story

Mareno’s Outfitters Guide Service began in 2014 as Mareno’s Bowfishing Adventures, specializing in bowfishing excursions. In 2019, the business expanded and transitioned to focus on providing thrilling outdoor adventures, including:

• Alligator Hunts: Guided hunts for alligators, offering a challenging and adrenaline-packed experience.

• Nighttime Thermal Hog Hunts: Utilizing advanced thermal imaging technology for nighttime wild hog hunting.

• Coyote Hunts: Expertly guided hunts aimed at managing predator populations.

• Nutria Eradication Hunts: February and March we go into the marshes of south Louisiana and eradicate nutria.

    Guided Hunts

    Alligator Hunt 🐊

    $1400

    Alligator hunts require a $300 non-refundable deposit with the balance due before August 20, 2025.

    Hunt includes alligator tag and basic cleaning for meat only. Skinning/cleaning for taxidermy is extra and charged by size of the gator under 10’ $150, 10’ and over is $200.

    If tags are available, additional gators are $500 each during the same hunt.

    Louisiana resident alligator hunting licenses are  $25, nonresident license are $150, and are the responsibility of the individual hunter. 

    Nighttime Hog/Coyote Hunts 🐗🐺

    $300 per person

    For night time thermal hog/coyote hunts, Mareno’s Outfitters provides all rifles, thermals, silencers and ammunition. Customers are required to purchase/possess a Louisiana Basic Hunting license(not provided by Mareno’s)

    Hog/coyote season is open year round, and hunts can be booked anytime of the year.

    Nutria Eradication Hunt 🦫

    $400

    For night time thermal Nutria Eradication hunts, Mareno’s Outfitters provides all rifles, thermals, silencers and ammunition. On these hunts, it’s common to shoot 100+ nutria per night. 

    Customers are required to purchase/possess a Louisiana Basic Hunting license(not provided by Mareno’s)

    Nutria season is open year round, but due to tall marsh grass, we only books these hunts after duck season closes in February and March each year.

    Our guided hunts are suitable for both beginners and experienced hunters, and our guides can provide assistance and tips to help you improve your skills.

    Our guided hunting trips have different maximum numbers for customers.

    Alligators: There is a max of 3 customers per boat, but with notice we can run multiple boats to acc up to 6 per day.

    Hog/Coyote: The maximum is 3 customers per night. 

    Nutria: The maximum is 2 customers per night, due to the hunts being done out of a surface drive boat. 

    Each different hunt requires slightly different items for our customers, but the best thing to bring for all of our hunts is a Great Attitude and a sense of adventure. 

    Alligator: Clothing: Jeans or pants, rubber boots/old shoes, and a light jacket if you get cold easily. An ice chest to pack home your cleaned meat.


    Hogs/coyotes: Clothing: Dark colored shirt and pants, jackets for wintertime hunts, snake boots or hiking boots. Headlight 


    Nutria: Warm clothing, gloves, beanie, headlight and rubber boots or shoes.
